This season, The Fells will be the center of the New England sculpture world. Meadows, terraces and pathways will be transformed into gardens of sculpture, and the historic Main House, into a gallery of indoor works.

Gateway to Sculpture: Opening Night Gala
Saturday, July 2, 5 to 9 pm
Join us for the gala Opening Night, a celebration of contemporary sculpture and an opportunity to preview the exhibits and meet guest artists. The evening will include a cocktail hour and buffet dinner under the tent, accompanied by New York jazz. There will be time for touring the Main House and strolling through the gardens. The gallery will display indoor works, and outdoors you will find large-scale pieces spotted along woodland paths, blended into broad meadows and majestically setting off the lake vista. Reservations essential, $100.

Gateway to Sculpture: Full Exhibit
Sunday, July 3 through Sunday, July 10, 10 am to 4 pm
Renowned American sculptors, including Hans Van deBovenkamp, Peter Reginato, William King and Jon Clowes, will display their work in the Main House and throughout the grounds of The Fells. Admission to Main House exhibit, $10. Outdoor sculpture exhibit is free to members or with $5 tour fee. Group rates available (call 603-763-4789). Main House exhibit continues through July 10; outdoor exhibit continues through Columbus Day.

Gateway to Sculpture: Jazz Brunch
Sunday, July 10, 11 am to 3 pm
Delectable food and cool music - a delightful way to end the Main House show of contemporary works by noted American sculptors. Two brunch seatings: 11 and 12:30. Reservations essential, $40. (The outdoor exhibit continues through Columbus Day.)

Gateway to Sculpture: Outdoor Exhibit
July 11 through October 10, 2005 - Site open daily, dawn to dusk
Discover large-scale outdoor sculpture, surprising at the end of a woodland path, naturally blending in an intimate meadow, or majestically setting off the vista to Lake Sunapee. Works by 27 contemporary American sculptors are displayed throughout The Fells grounds. Outdoor sculpture exhibit is free to members or with tour fee ($5/$6).
