Main House Tours

Historic tours of the Main House are offered seasonally during Main House Hours. The first tour of the day begins at 10:15am. Tours are offered hourly, ending with the last scheduled tour at 3:15pm.

Guided Tour: South Hall:

Your visit begins with a 15-minute video followed by a docent-guided 40-minute tour of the 1891, 22-room house. Learn about Hay family history, the architecture and building phases of this Colonial Revival summer home, and experience what it was like to live on Lake Sunapee during this time of prosperity.

Following your tour, browse the Gallery where there are rotating art exhibits throughout the season, visit the Shop and snack center, and enjoy the view of lake and mountain from the Veranda.
